Cara Pelser

Chair

I have volunteered for Headway Blackburn since 2010 and have, this year, taken on the role of Chairperson for the group, attempting to fill Suzanne’s very big shoes!

My role also involves managing the website/social media content, and, along with the rest of the team, organising monthly meetings, outings and fundraising for the group.

I work as a Clinical Neuropsychologist and totally love my job! I am passionate about raising awareness of ABI and working neuropsychologically with survivors of ABI and their families. This involves neuropsychological assessment of people’s thinking skills, and supporting people with adjustment and acceptance following life changing circumstances.

I am a mum to a very loving and caring little boy (who one day, I’m sure, will be volunteering for Headway!), and in my spare time, enjoy playing netball and going to the gym.  I love a bit of interior design and spending (too much) money on the house/garden!
